These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Empire Clash Clans bot (the “Bot”). By adding the Bot to a Discord server, or by using its commands or participating in a server where it is present, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not add or use the Bot.
1. The Service
The Bot is a private management and moderation tool for the Empire Clash Clans (“ECC”) community. It provides clan registration and management, membership and merit tracking, leaderboards, Roblox account linking, a shared community blacklist with cross-server ban synchronization, and automated message moderation. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service and meet Discord's minimum age requirement to use the Bot. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Bot complies with all applicable laws and with the rules of the servers you participate in.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Bot for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Discord's or Roblox's terms;
- Attempt to abuse, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Bot or its infrastructure;
- Attempt to circumvent moderation, bans, or the community blacklist;
- Submit false information, or link a Roblox account that you do not own or control;
- Use the Bot to harass, abuse, or harm others.
4. Moderation and Enforcement
The Bot performs automated moderation of message content in registered clan servers and enables community staff to blacklist users and synchronize bans across affiliated servers. Moderation and blacklisting decisions are made by ECC staff. We may restrict, ban, or remove any user, or remove any data, at our discretion to protect the community. Automated moderation is provided on a best-effort basis and may produce false positives or fail to catch all prohibited content; it does not replace human judgment.
5. Your Content and Data
Your use of the Bot is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we process and why. You retain ownership of the content you submit through Discord; you grant us permission to process it as needed to operate the Bot's features.
6. Availability
The Bot is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Bot will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that ban synchronization or moderation will be complete or accurate. We may suspend or discontinue the Bot, in whole or in part, at any time without notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Bot. The Bot is operated on a non-commercial, volunteer basis for the ECC community.
8. Third-Party Services
The Bot operates on Discord and relies on third-party services including Discord and OpenAI (for content moderation) and interacts with Roblox for account linking. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Bot after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
